Ora il sentiero comincia a salire; al bivio successivo si tralasciano le indicazioni per i bivacchi Borghi e Martinotti e si seguono quelle per i bivacchi Pol e Grappein. Le grandi seraccate del ghiacciaio della Tribolazione sono sempre più vicine, ormai incombenti.
